The Multigenerational Day Service Vision
Purpose: Create a safe and affordable days service center for child and elder care using an interdisciplinary approach with supporting services from the onsite farm, culinary and arts programming.
Physical: Regular physical activity and exercise using natural movements encouraged by blending the generations.
Social: Enhanced opportunity for direct interactions and conversation. Creates positive child/ elder interactions.
Health: Reduces isolation and is proven to improve mental and emotional health of elders.
Education: Elders teach and mentor which improves the academic performance of children.

A multigenerational environment
A multigenerational environment coupled with a robust commercial center will support the community with retail and service job opportunities, art experiences, unique events and educational opportunities. Onsite senior and child daycare will provide care for the community within a nurturing and stimulating intergenerational environment. A café and co-working space will provide a conducive climate for entrepreneurs. This multifaceted community network will also support a work exchange and artist residency program.
